This beautiful Eagle Mask is hand-carved and sandblasted by Kwakiutl artist Trevor Hunt. The mask was created from red cedar, painted in black, red, turquoise, sage green, and gray acrylic, and accented with cedar bark.
The head of the Eagle has been hand-carved, while the wings of the eagle have been sandblasted. This reflects Trevor's skill at combining traditional Northwest Coast tools and techniques with modern methods and machinery.
The mask, including the cedar bark and the wings, measures approximately 36 inches or 91 centimeters wide, 16 inches or 41 centimeters high, and 11 inches or 28 centimeters deep.
